Prego Pettett

Here's a recent pic of Case's 14-week prego belly...isn't she cute? According to her though:
"Soon my entire body will look like someone stuck a hose in me and filled me up!"

Happy Anniversary to Us

Happy 4 year anniversary Womdad! Each year our gift to each other is travel, so this year we've picked Scottsdale, AZ - we're staying at my cousin's ranch - we'll go horseback riding (yes family that includes me but don't think I won't cry), hiking, swimming, drive some car type thing that Josh will love, tour a Frank Lloyd Wright house and enjoy the dry heat. Here is a picture from our engagement at Turtle Pond in NYC on 11/22/03. Josh had a random Central Park runner take pictures as he proposed...I said yes.

Memorial Day Fun

Josh, Dixie and I went to Austin to "celebrate" Memorial Day with Aaron, Gretch, Harley and Layla - the newest addition to their family. Here is a highlight video of the weekend with the dogs b/c our lives are centered around them. We will share more photos and videos later!

Fence Build - Part Deaux

Well, finally, with a little more time to work this weekend, I was able to get the side fence to a near completed state. The last five feet of fence will be done after the very back fence is completed, so that I can match them up at the corner.

All in all, I am fairly pleased with the fence...I did learn a lot and picked up a few little tricks here and there...which will be handy if I ever decide to start installing fences full time. I am available for hire by the way, $75 per hour plus cost of materials is the going rate as of today (prices subject to change without notice).

Jamie and Dixie are also pleased with the new backyard addition, so it is deemed a success!!

A Dude's Perspective On Weddings

Note that I am not to be seen in ANY of the wedding photos below. This is due to one of two reasons... 1) I was embracing my role as a professional amateur photographer ("Josh, take our picture" has been said more than a few times) or 2) I was visiting with one of the other few dudes that were in similar situations to myself.

First, let me start off by saying...all of the three weddings we have covered here and the next two weddings that are already lined up...are/were fantastic, nicely done, and ones that we would not want to miss. Also, to all those that attended our wedding, thank you sincerely...it wouldn't have been what it was without you showing up!!

That being said, dudes should have a limit of one wedding per month (or year). Any more than that is very tough. Sitting, chatting, clapping, smiling, picture taking...all of which must be done, none of which most dudes sincerely enjoy. We should be rewarded by having Dave & Buster's like games at the reception, or skeet/trap shooting stations...something like that. Enjoy the pics of Lance and Liz's wedding below! Happy wedding season!!

And 3rd place goes to...

Elizabeth Marie Griffin holds wedding number 3. Liz and I have known each other since 4th grade, when she entered the classroom with short permed hair, wearing a windsuit - I will never let her forget that. But on Saturday, she was a beautiful bride and married the handsome Lance Griffin. They are now honeymooning in Greece and when they come back, will only live 7 blocks north of Josh and I...we're looking forward to stalking them and stealing their dog, Nic Lacey.
