So, let's pretend I am blogging about a week ago because that's when I intended to.
1. We went to NYC on 9/8 to go to the US Open (tennis tournament for those of you who aren't familiar). It was an amazing experience and we want to go back every year. We got to see some incredible matches, the best being a semifinals match against Kim Clijsters and Venus Williams, in which we were horrible Americans and cheered for Kimmie Poo Poo (as Josh calls her). If you love tennis, you'd love it even more after going to this tournament. It's such a different experience seeing it in person, just as any sporting event is. The rest of the time in NY was spent walking around and seeing Ground Zero on 9/11. I'll post pics and maybe a video or two later.
2. We got back on 9/12 and the next day was my birthday, but more importantly that's the day we had our anatomy sonogram. I posted it on FB, but it's a healthy boy and we are thrilled beyond belief! I'll never forget that appointment. Now it's time to start planning, registering and narrowing down the name.
3. I first experienced the baby flutters on the plane to NY and then again after we landed. I just knew this was going to happen b/c Mindy felt her little one after she landed in Zambia, and I couldn't get that out of my mind. I figure it had something to do with the pressure in the air. Now I'm feeling him about daily and can't wait until the movements get stronger and more regular.
4. I am now 21 weeks and 4 days. Everything has been great and I'm feeling really good. I'm feeling more and more hungry, so just trying to keep up by eating about every 2 hours. You should see the lunch I pack. It looks like I'm packing for a family of 4.
